Position Summary:

Responsible with interacting with arriving guests as they enter the restaurant. It is the job of the hostess to greet guests, welcome them into the establishment and seat them. The guests receive their first impression of the service of the restaurant by their exchange with the hostess.

Type:
Hourly, Part-time

Pay scale:
$17.30-$18.00 plus tips

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Greet Guests and attend them in a polite friendly manner
Have and maintain knowledge of facility, surrounding area, prices and menu items offered. It is also important to have knowledge on the preparation of our menu items and where our products are sourced from.
Walk guests to their table while engaging in conversation (when possible)
Walk guests to the restrooms instead of just pointing the way
Maintain cleanliness of menus and organization of menus
Answer the phone
Communicate efficiently with management, service staff and guests
Have and maintain working knowledge of the POS system to correctly complete transactions efficiently and minimize mistakes
Complete opening, running and closing sidework duties

Qualifications:

Suggested of 1 year in the hospitality industry

Example:
hotel, restaurant, nightclub, etc.

Skills and Attitudes:

Must be motivated, hardworking, and passionate
Superior verbal skills are a MUST
Outgoing personality
Attention to detail
Positive attitude and willingness to get along with coworkers

High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours at a time
Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds safely and properly
Ability to work in a stressful, fastpaced environment
No visible or offensive tattoos
Must be able to work nights, holidays, and weekends
