    We are currently seeking an experienced controls engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to our customers' productivity improvement efforts.

    You will contribute to the group's efforts through all phases of projects, from concept generation and proposal through design and implementation.

    The ideal candidate is a creative and flexible thinker, experienced in industrial automation, who is eager to both learn and teach, in a hands-on environment.


    Responsibilities:
    Design of control systems for industrial automation projects including wiring and panel layouts, as well as pneumatic controls. Document those designs using AutoCAD.
    Program PLCs, HMIs, motion controllers, and robots .
    Handle any required communications within systems, with other equipment, or with customer software, such as ERP.
    Contribute to the panel building and wiring processes as needed.
    Lead the start-up, testing, and de-bugging process.
    Contribute to the installation and start-up effort at customer facilities. Some projects are local, others will require travel. Travel requirement can be up to 40%.
    Provide troubleshooting support for existing equipment.
    Contribute to system documentation, including as-built drawings, manuals, etc.


    Qualifications:
    BS Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
    5+ years of relevant experience; automation, robotics, machine controls
    Ability to design power and control circuits, including panel layouts
    Proficiency in AutoCAD
    Understanding of machine safety
    PLC & HMI programming skills (Allen-Bradley preferred)
    Ability to program Fanuc robots
    Analytical, problem solving, and hands-on skills
    Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
