    Description

    We are in search of a Designer for Women's Activewear to join the team of a renowned fashion company based in New York City.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct research to spot trend directions, analyze competitors, select fabrics, design concepts, create presentation boards, mock-ups, color-ups, and inspiring photos
    • Develop the seasonal design category considering the broader assortment and cost structure
    • Design aligning with style plans, sales requirements, and emerging trends, ensuring timely product development
    • Produce Illustrator sketches, review specification and line sheets, maintain accuracy in product development logs and design archives library
    • Evaluate raw materials and trims, maintain fabric/trim library
    • Approve lab dips, review prints and graphics, manage the fit process
    • Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders, manage communication, and foster vendor relationships
    • Contribute positively to the team dynamics

    Required Qualifications:

    • 4-7 years of experience in apparel design
    • Specialized experience in women's design
    • Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work in a team
    • Capability to multitask, meet deadlines, attention to detail, and creativity
    • Proficiency in garment construction, pattern making, color ways, sewing techniques, etc.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, CAD, and 3D design tools such as Browzwear
