Primary Purpose of Position

Essential Functions:


  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality, including keeping uptodate personnel files and I9 documentation, for active and terminated employees.
  • Coordinate and facilitate HR training sessions and workshops for staff on different topics and act as a thought partner to identify training needs as they emerge.
  • Answer daytoday HR questions from employees across multiple sites and departments.
  • Act as a project manager, coordinating and aligning efforts across various HR projects, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members as well as setting clear objectives and timelines to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement surveys, workforce planning, and organizational development efforts.
  • Review exit survey data and HR analytics to identify trends and patterns, offering recommendations to enhance employee retention & engagement.
  • Responsible for the onboarding of all new hires, including preboarding as well as collaborating with Talent Acquisition for new hire orientation.
  • Collaborate with the CHRO & Director of HR Operations to negotiate benefit renewals and ensure best options for NSCH and its staff.
  • Oversee the coordination and monitoring of employee timekeeping and leaves, including FMLA, STD, and statespecific leaves.
  • Facilitate NSCH's worker's compensation program and liaise with the program provider.
  • Provide adhoc reports from HRIS system and collaborate with HRIS vendor on system capabilities.
  • Manage the HR census, job changes, and act as the payroll interface for all personnel actions.
  • Research and provide recommendations on best practices for benefits administration, compensation practices, and employee wellness.
  • Oversee the offboarding process for all employees, including conducting exit interviews and handling benefit COBRA paperwork.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to determine position specifications, prescreening questions, as needed.
  • Perform other HR administrative duties as assigned.
