About the job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as the Director of Financial Data and Systems. This role has been expanded to deliver full end-to-end leadership for IG's financial systems and associated data to enable finance and accounting organizations to produce timely and accurate financial statements and enhance the partnership with stakeholders to deliver insights and support decision-making. The financial system infrastructure under management will include ERP, consolidation and reporting tools and budgeting and planning applications along with governance over financial data and key operational KPI's used in planning and analytics. This position will collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, Internal Audit, Finance, Technology, Revenue Operations and Strategic Sourcing and operate with a sense of urgency proactively seeking to understand challenges of key stakeholders and propose solutions to drive friction out of current processes. This role is a highly strategic position for IG and will play a key role to assess current financial data and system gaps, develop near-term capability enhancements within existing ecosystem and devise the financial systems roadmap to bring to life a modernized and efficient financial system landscape. This leader will lead and drive our Financial Data Warehouse strategy to ensure robust financial reporting cycle requirements are met. IG's finance organization is in growth mode, thus the ideal candidate will enjoy building and establishing new processes and routines, have demonstrated experience collaborating in a matrix environment, possess strong partnering and influencing skills and operate with a continuous improvement mindset.

From a technical perspective a successful candidate will have previously ran a large enterprise financial systems organization for a global company, developed and/or meaningfully contributed to financial systems roadmap, drove ERP and EPM implementations, including full re-build of the financial data model, developed financial systems governance process from ground-up, be well versed in proper change management protocols from lower environments to production, managed end-user security and access provisioning and work with a strong understanding of FP&A functional requirements to drive re-forecasting, scenario planning and variance analysis. This role will manage a team and report to the VP of Global FP&A.

In This Role, You Will

• Serve as leader of financial data and systems organization to drive, in partnership with IT Corporate Product Director and Data Insight and Analytics team, strategy and future vision to modernize architecture to scale with business growth and establish a Financial Data Warehouse
• Oversee and direct administration of IG's financial data and technology operations, processes and related procedures, including solutions necessary to support new accounting pronouncements, finance initiatives, business lines changes and International expansion
• Collaborate with IT Corporate Product Director, Data Insights and Analytics team and FLT to enhance existing system functionality, process automation and data hygiene in core financial systems
• Drive projects to support efficient flow of data, explore expanding details in GL string in ERP and eliminate manual processing via integrations and/or other means
• Ensure robust governance and change management of the finance environment, including documentation, socialization, presentation and approval through key stakeholder groups to enable structured and informed decision-making and accurate and timely delivery of financial statements
• Lead system implementations for finance organization ensuring project plans are outlined, timelines and cost are reasonable and well understood, third-party vendors are properly selected with vetting from all impacted stakeholders, source system integrations are property concerned and managed and organization is brought along through strong communication
• Provide escalation path for issues giving rise to audit or control risk related to financial systems
• Manage and leverage vendor and third-party relationships in support of financial system
• Collaborate cross-functionally with IT and other parts of the organization to support integrations that share and move financial data and is the data steward for financially relevant data
• Provide hands-on leadership and development to financial system's team creating a positive environment for team member growth and fostering collaboration across both finance and the wider enterprise
• Contribute new ideas to drive continuous improvement to business processes through systems and tools

The Skills You'll Bring Include

• 15+ years of progressive experience leading and administering ERP and EPM systems for a large global company; dealing with multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation
• Proven track record of success in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
• Excellent consulting, problem solving and analytical skills with demonstrated experience joining business needs with system capabilities
• Outstanding judgement and mature business skills with the ability to establish a strong rapport with senior management
• High level of organization and project management skills with past performance driving timelines for deliverables
• Experience implementing and supporting a variety of financial system applications and upstream integrations including human capital management applications, workforce planning and reporting, Billing/Accounts Receivable, T&E, Accounts Payable, Consolidations, Account Reconciliations, Scenario Planning, Time Keeping and Treasury management
• Strong data flow and integrations experience to support new third-party integrations and acquisitions to ensure complete, accurate and timely financial data analysis and reporting
• Experience documenting and conveying complex topics in an articulate, coherent and digestible form for diverse business stakeholders including at the executive level, non-financial data stewards, accountants, IT and end users of the financial systems
• Understanding of GAAP, Statuary Reporting, economics, and operational management methodologies
• Comfortable leading and coaching teams, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
• Self-motivated and able to take ownership and responsibility for end-to-end process and knows how to work independently, but when to consult with other
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or information systems
• MBA or graduate degree preferred but not required
• Prior consulting experience a plus
