Do you have a good spatial imagination and enjoy creating sketches and drawings? Then an apprenticeship as a Geomatics Technician could be an option for you.

These are your new tasks:
You acquire geodata by conducting surveys yourself or obtaining existing geographic information.
Using specialized software, you process data into maps and graphics, three-dimensional representations, and multimedia applications.
You visualize plans and highlight special spatial features.
You support and advise clients.
You will learn about surveying methods and equipment and how to apply them.
You verify geodata sufficiently.

The construction and representation of geodata in plans, maps, and data models are also part of your responsibilities, as well as deriving, representing, and evaluating multidimensional objects and models from them.

You will learn how to use internal and external information and communication systems, such as distinguishing between international, national, and regional geodata infrastructures, selecting geodata services, and applying the functionalities of geographic information systems.

You research, evaluate, select, document, and store data and information.
You will be taught how to set and georeference important information for further processing.
