- Bachelor's degree in Safety/Environmental Health (or related degree) preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- ISO14001/TS16949 Lead Auditor Certification, (preferred)
- CSP or CHMM certification preferred.
- Greater than six (6) years of relevant experience and academic preparation or ten (10) years of relevant experience
- Experience in manufacturing and/or the automotive industry preferred
- EHS compliance experience or coursework
- ISO14001/45001 System Implementation and Management experience preferred
- General manufacturing and industrial equipment knowledge required.
- 2-5 years EHS Compliance, ISO14001 and Energy (CO2), Waste and Water Reduction experience.
- General understanding and working knowledge of basic engineering principles.
- Knowledge of federal and state safety regulations (Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, Mississippi)
- Strong organization and planning skills.
- Ability to communicate and work well with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to compile effective and concise visual reports.
- Effective presentation and writing skills.
- Knowledgeable of energy engineering and landfill reduction strategies.

IGeneral Summary:
Administration of TBA Corporate EHS performance and compliance activities.
II
Essential Job Functions:
A. Interprets safety, health, and environmental codes, standards, and regulations.
B.
Organizes and conducts program audits and risk assessments that evaluate the effectiveness of occupational safety procedures in the work environment.
C. Investigates accidents utilizing hazard analysis and other analytical techniques to identify and correct unsafe acts and hazardous conditions.D.
Consults and coordinates with other professionals including industrial hygienists, physicians, environmental engineers and safety engineers in the resolution of complex occupational safety and health issues.
E.Develops occupational safety and health procedures including establishing criteria to control or eliminate moderately serious hazards in facilities and operations.
F. Create monthly EHS Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports (e.g. compliance, energy, waste, and water).G. Function as a resource to plants in planning and implementing best practices in EHS programs and waste reduction opportunities.
H. Develop, implement, train, review, and update environmental programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
I. Support plants in achieving and maintaining ISO14001/45001 certifications and training.
J. Comply with all regulations set by the Federal & State OSHA/EPA/DOT and Local Governmental requirements and regulations.
K. Conduct internal audits to ensure company compliance with all company EHS policies and procedures.
L. Drive Energy (CO2), Water and Waste Energy Projects, develop environmental action plans and countermeasures and report out on KPI matrix's
M.
Coordinate the work of outside contractors and consultants to support creation of permit applications and process performance testing, as needed.
N. Assist in engineering new processes and devices to meet or exceed EHS regulations.O. Develop and maintain data for EHS KPI, monthly reports, and executive presentations.
P. Identify and inform management of compliance issues and improvement opportunities
Q. Conduct EHS compliance training.
R. Conduct training and coaching for management and team members on EHS issues pertaining to their specific position and job duties in support of appropriate laws utilizing TBA PE training materials
S. Develop/complete annual departmental business planning objectives and all assigned special projects, as required.
T. Draft EHS policy and procedures for management review and approval.
U. Follow safety, quality, confidentiality, and information security policies and procedures.

Plant:
Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hearing protection, etc. may be required in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas. Personal attire standards may apply.
Travel:
Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
Travel to all manufacturing plants within TB including:
U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. Passport will be required.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear.
The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time and is occasionally required to lift up to 33 pounds.
