Welcome to the job opportunity as a Resource Development Specialist at our company! If you enjoy working with donors and managing relationships for a good cause, this position might be a great fit for you.

As a Resource Development Specialist, you will be reporting directly to the Resource Development Director, collaborating with the CEO, ReStore Manager, and volunteer committees to ensure the success of our fundraising efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate documentation of all gifts in the donor database.
Provide timely recognition and thanks to donors.
Maintain the donor database with precision.
Generate detailed development reports for management and the board.
Assist in the organization and submission of grant proposals.
Identify potential grant opportunities and maintain a tracking system.
Work closely with the Resource Development Director to execute the development plan.
Support the planning and execution of special events.
Assist in donor communications including mailings and online interactions.
Offer flexibility and support to staff on various projects throughout the year.

Requirements:

High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
Strong written communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Minimum of 2 years of grant writing and/or fundraising experience.
Proficiency in MS Office, database administration, and website management.
Experience with Raiser's Edge or similar fundraising databases is a plus.
Prior involvement with resource development or non-profit organizations is advantageous.
Passion for supporting the mission of Greater Muncie, IN Habitat for Humanity.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
