LakeResearchPartners (LRP), a leading Democratic public opinion research and political consulting firm, is accepting applications from experienced and qualified candidates for the position of Analyst and Associate Analyst. These are full-time positions. The selected candidate would work with political organizations and progressive issue clients. Candidates would report directly to one of LRPs partner-led teams.

The ideal candidate will have some political and polling experience and be highly detail-oriented with the proven ability to follow through on assignments. Previous political experience is highly valued. Analysts should have 1-2 years of experience in an office setting, including internships, fellowships, or a campaign. Associate Analysts should have 3-4 years of experience in an office setting, including professional experience in public opinion research.

LakeResearchPartners serves as senior advisors to a wide range of advocacy groups, labor unions, non-profits, state and federal government agencies, companies and foundations, as well as numerous elected officials at all levels of the government.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Proofing documents, including reports, presentations, and tables of numbers
Writing short client memos and components of reports
Creating public presentations
Conducting background research for projects
Providing support for marketing needs as directed
Attending external events of interest to the team and firm

Be organized, diligent and responsible and able to juggle a range of different tasks simultaneously
Exhibit a high level of attention to detail
Display excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work well under tight deadlines
Be able to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments
Show sound judgment and discretion
Show good customer relationship and follow-up skills

Preferred Skills:

A level of political acumen
A background in or understanding of data analysis
Experience conducting opinion research
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
A commitment to the progressive movement and to social, economic, and racial justice
