The city of Goodview, MN aims to establish itself as a leader and "Climate Capital".

To achieve this, the city plans to reach climate neutrality by 2035 through the implementation of various political initiatives and projects outlined in the Düsseldorf 2025 Climate Protection Concept.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordination and implementation of the Electric Mobility Action Plan
  • Promoting and establishing hydrogen as an alternative to fossil fuels
  • Encouraging sustainable commuting to work, initiating climatefriendly mobility alternatives for schools, and implementing related projects
  • Acquiring funding for mobility projects (EU, federal, state)
  • Designing, coordinating, and implementing climate protection measures in the transportation sector according to the guidelines of the Düsseldorf 2025 Climate Protection Concept, both within the city administration and in collaboration with external organizations and companies in Düsseldorf
  • Conducting public relations and working with committees.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or Arts with a focus on transportation, transportation economics, transportation systems, or a related field, with at least three years of professional experience or a comparable degree
  • Experience in process and project management and public relations
  • Knowledge of municipal administrative and decisionmaking structures
