Community Coordination handles direct case management services to clients currently at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line who live in Boston, Malden, Medford, and Everett.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities for staff and volunteers.
  • Provide support to clients participating in the program, identifying support services needed and make appropriate referrals.
  • Provide case management services through individual visits and followup to enable them to become more selfsufficient.
  • Coordinate outgoing referrals with other neighborhood services providers to ensure client needs are met.
  • Serve as neighborhood coordinator for seasonal service programs including but not limited to tax preparation and summer youth programs.
  • Oversee accurate database for agency, clients, and employers.
  • Maintain relationships with other community based organizations, representing the neighborhood Director/Operations Manager at events and meetings as assigned.
  • Coordinate client outreach and community linkage activities, facilitating various workshops.
  • Coordinate volunteers and interns to support neighborhood programming, including but not limited to tax preparation.
  • Communicate with other community based organizations to better meet clients' service needs.
  • Prepare weekly narrative reports regarding clients and employment efforts for submission to the Director/Operations Manager.
  • Supervise staff and oversee operations when the Director/Operations Manager is off site.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent, and 1 to 3 years of experience in case management or job development, and experience working with adults and youth required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual skills as needed.
  • Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.
