    Shermco U.S. is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer/Project Manager.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, prefer educational focus in Power Systems 5 years professional experience in an electrical engineering role Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus, or working towards obtaining Intermediate drafting/CAD skills.

    Experience with man-hour estimates, equipment take-offs, and managing sub-contractors & equipment vendor bids Experience performing protective relay projects and substation design a plus.

    Knowledge of SKM short-circuit protective device coordination, arc-flash, and power quality studies a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

    Must be able to clearly communicate in English via verbal and written methods, and effectively communicate directly to customers and co-workers.


    Job Responsibilities may include:

    Oversee junior and mid-level engineers Ability to produce electrical construction drawing packages Develop electrical system layouts, specifications, and load analysis Coordinate with customers, sales, estimators, and project managers as the technical specialist.

    Interact with customers and sales to gather critical information to develop engineering plans and budgets.

    Design and troubleshoot protective relaying and controls Occasionally work with our Field Services team on shut-down, startup, installation, and maintenance projects.


    Requirements:

    Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, drive regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations.

    Should be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam when required Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests.

    Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check. Must be available to work overtime and travel out of town periodically.

    Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, drive regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations.

    Must be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam. Must have a valid driver's license, and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record.
