    CHIEF OF PEDIATRIC GASTRENTEROLOGY, HEPATOLOGY & NUTURITION

    Norton Childrens Gastroenterology and the University of Louisville Department of Pediatrics are seeking a Division and Section Chief of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition to lead our team. The University of Louisville School of Medicine, one of the oldest medical schools west of the Appalachian Mountains, has worked together with Norton Childrens to care for the patients of our region, train the doctors of tomorrow and research and innovate in the field of child health for nearly 100 years.

    Our joint mission is collaborating for Healthy Children and Families where we strive achieve the following:

    • To be the regions most comprehensive and preferred pediatric healthcare system from infancy to young adulthood
    • Training tomorrows pediatric healthcare providers and leaders
    • Translating clinical research to state-of-the-art bedside care
    • Promote healthy families through advocacy and community engagement

    Our new integrated entity, Norton Childrens Medical Group affiliated with the University of Louisville School of Medicine has, in two short years, recruited well over 100 providers, added four new accredited fellowships, increased outreach throughout our state, and increased NIH, industry sponsored grants, and registry and trial drug network funding through our collaborative research institute, Norton Childrens Research Institute (NCRI).

    ABOUT THE POSITION

    The GI Division chief will oversee a robust clinical team with varied interests to achieve our mission and vision. At Norton Childrens and the University of Louisville Department of Pediatrics, we are excited to recruit leaders who share our core values to inspire, empower and lead their teams with a shared vision. That vision includes inclusive leaders who work collaboratively, are committed, and have the courage to lead change in creative ways.

    The Division Chief will lead and mentor our team in all areas of the mission with support from the department of pediatrics at the University of Louisville, our clinical operations team, our research team, Norton Childrens Research Institute, and our strong Office of Medical Education.

    Norton Childrens and the University of Louisville Department of Pediatrics are committed to growing our program globally to better serve our patients and their families and the Division Chief will be a key leader in these efforts.

    The University of Louisville School of Medicine was founded in 1837, one of the oldest medical schools west of the Appalachian Mountains. In collaboration with the Norton Children's Research Institute, the University of Louisville, supports all provider's research interests. Strong history of working collaboratively with Norton Childrens to train our medical students, residents, and fellows.     REQUIREMENTS

    • Medical degree/diploma
    • Board certified/board eligible
    • Kentucky medical license or license eligible
