It's Work That Matters.

Overview:


The Float Teams at CHLA offer nursing support to nearly every unit in the hospital, multiple med surg units, ICU's (PICU, CTICU, NICCU), and the ED.

Generally, the teams are divided into a med/surg team and an ICU team, with the opportunity to cross train to areas of interest as your experience on the team grows.

Nurses on these teams take a patient assignment on a different unit each shift based on the needs of the hospital.

Purpose Statement/Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse on the float team, conducts patient assessments, participates in the development of the plan of care, implements and evaluates care according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs, collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care.

The employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.


Education/Licensure/Certification:

ADN with BSN in progress within 2 years of employment, Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.

Current CA RN license and American Heart Association BLS and PALS certification required.


Hours:

12hr shifts, variable shifts per week

Day and Night shifts available 7am-7pm & 7pm-7am

Full and Part time positions available
