- The O&M Technician will be a team player performing operations, maintenance and technical support to achieve safe, cost effective operation and maintenance of the Lackawanna Energy Center.
- Operate the facility during start-up, shutdown, normal and emergency conditions in accordance with operating procedures and instructions to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
- Maintain and trouble-shoot mechanical, electrical and or control systems in a power generation facility.
- Perform/direct housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean safe work environment and professional appearance.
- Work within and ensure strict adherence to all safety and environmental procedures.
- The O&M Technician will work various shifts and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Education/experience in power plant operations, mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance or instrument and controls.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Candidates must be willing and capable of becoming multi-skilled and be part of a self-directed work team in a team environment.
- Each employee will perform both operations and maintenance.
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- GE Frame 7FA or 7HA experience a plus but not required.
- Good verbal and written communications skills.

About The Site
Lackawanna Energy Center is a nominal 1500 MW combined cycle power generation facility using GE's 7HA gas turbine platform. The facility is located in the Borough of Jessup, Pennsylvania (near Scranton, PA).
Position
Overview
The O&M Technician provides the organization with a knowledgeable, multi-skilled, troubleshooting expert who operates and maintains a combined cycle power station.
