    We are looking for a

    Senior Infrastructure Engineer


    who can multitask, demonstrate flexibility, and deal with many different situations at a time, like writing specifications and documentation for the infrastructure and back-end features, analyzing the technology currently being used, and developing plans and processes for improvement and expansion.


    As a key member of our Platform group, you will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining the core infrastructure used by Equilibrium's development teams & empower critical developer workflows.

    What you will do

    Help define, design, develop, and deploy EQ's Internal Developer Platform

    Focus on Kubernetes, apply and advance best practices for DevOps, including Infrastructure As Code, Gitops, and CI/CD Pipelines.

    Participate in project planning meetings to share knowledge of system options, risk, impact, and costs vs. benefits. In addition, communicate operational requirements and development forecasts.

    Perform routine maintenance to ensure the production environment runs smoothly. Develop maintenance requirements and procedures.

    Implement advanced monitoring and alerting

    Share on-call responsibilities with the rest of the Platform group, and the Engineering department as a whole

    Participate in and lead blameless post-mortems to build a culture of continuous improvement

    The minimum qualifications you'll need

    Demonstrated passion for clean energy initiatives and combating climate change.

    Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.

    4+ years of relevant work experience.

    Extensive hands-on experience with

    Kubernetes

    or other containerized workload platforms.

    Extensive practical knowledge of AWS cloud technologies, including IAM, EKS, RDS, and EC2.

    Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code, particularly with Terraform.

    Proficiency in software development, with a preference for Python, emphasizing code readability, reliability, and testing.

    Experience with automated deployment and orchestration tools like CI/CD pipelines, Gitlab / Github, and Docker.

    Strong inclination towards automation, DevOps methodologies, and fostering collaborative environments, incorporating operational excellence and development best practices.

    Ability to seamlessly integrate into cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving work methodologies.

    Familiarity with agile methodologies or a willingness to learn and apply them effectively.

    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

    Nice to have additional skills

    Experience managing Postgres, Snowflake, or Databricks at scale.
