    Description

    We're looking for a talented Sales Manager to oversee the development and profitable growth of select national accounts including Walmart, Sam's Club, Meijer and select regional accounts. We are looking for a strategic thinker that understands how to grow topline sales yet understands how to grow the bottom line through efficient distribution growth and trade planning strategies. The ideal candidate is a motivated, self-starter that has outstanding presentation and communication skills with existing CPG sales experience in the Mass & Club Channels.

    This is a remote position that is required to be based out of Bentonville, AR.

    Key Job Functions

    · Delivering profitable sales growth, working with merchants to identify new business opportunities, formulating effective strategies, and implementing new or specialized sales and business relations programs leading to increased sales within defined promotional trade spend guidelines.

    · Executing effective sales, marketing, and business strategies for assigned customers to identify, forecast and close sales opportunities; actively promotes and introduces all new products to market.

    · Advancing brands by following all established sales call processes, actively promoting the value proposition of products to build profitable, sustainable-minded partnerships and alliances.

    · Conducting successful sales calls to generate increased business.

    · Actively listens to and responds to their customer and internal needs in a timely manner.

    · Developing trade plans for assigned customers that are aligned with budgetary guidelines.

    · Developing and maintaining positive customer and broker relationships.

    · Demonstrating effective relationship management with internal and external customers, preparing, and communicating call plans, business plans and proposals in advance to VP of Sales.

    · Maintaining ongoing accurate customer base including data entry for all sales activities, pre and post call plan actions and new business development opportunity status.

    · Collaborating cross functionally with marketing, operations, finance, and other departments on a regular basis to design, implement, and facilitate sales solutions, as well as win-win overall business solutions.

    · Creating, developing, and sustaining strategic relationships with industry peers by attending networking events and industry trade shows to develop and sustain strong business networks to generate sales.

    · Attending market trade shows to promote company and its brand message via the use of collateral, product displays and product information distribution.

    · Traveling as necessary to generate sales, and to create, develop and sustain excellent business relations.

    · Assists with other responsibilities and assignments, as deemed necessary by management.

    In order to be successful, you will need:

    · At least five years of sales experience, preferably in consumer products with Walmart & Sam's Club.

    · Proven experience in scaling a brand with omni channel retailers.

    · Knowledge of syndicated data (SPINS) with the ability to utilize data to create fact based selling stories.

    · Proven account management experience with Walmart & Sam's Club

    · Financial acumen skills to deliver profitable sales growth, sales planning, promotional analysis, and sales forecasting.

    · Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as CRM systems.

    · Ability to travel up to 50% of the time within the continental United States.

    · Proven ability to build relationships with both internal and external business partners.

    · Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    · Strong organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
