**This is a Traveling Role - there is extensive travel involved - Sunday Night Through Friday MorningJob Description:
As a Traveling Site Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel on our construction sites throughout the Southeast region.
This position requires extensive travel, with the successful candidate being on the road from Sunday evening to Friday evening each week.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Provide on-site safety training and toolbox talks to employees and subcontractors, emphasizing the importance of safe work practices and procedures.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports outlining root causes and recommended corrective actions.Collaborate with project teams to develop and maintain a culture of safety excellence, promoting awareness and accountability at all levels of the organization.
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to construction safety, and recommend updates to company policies and procedures as needed.
Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns from project stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, and third-party inspectors.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction safety management, with a proven track record of implementing effective safety programs on large-scale projects.
Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and other relevant industry guidelines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential safety risks.
Flexibility to travel extensively throughout the Southeast region, with overnight stays required from Sunday evening to Friday evening each week.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.Benefits:
