User Researcher

The Future Technology & Experience, within Personal Systems (PS), was created with a maniacal focus on designing and delivering seamless experiences for our customers.

We are seeking a creative and insightful User Researcher to join our team and specialize in concept testing.

You will play a vital role in evaluating the potential of our innovative product ideas by designing and conducting rigorous concept testing studies.

Your insights will be instrumental in shaping the future direction of our products and ensuring they resonate with our target audience.


Responsibilities:


  • Design and conduct user research studies focused on testing concepts, selecting appropriate methodologies to meet the unique needs of each study (interviews, cards sorts, prototype evaluation, etc).
  • Develop clear and concise test materials that effectively convey and explore the essence of the concept.
  • Analyze user feedback and identify key themes and insights that will help refine direction or resolve experiences of the product.
  • Utilize data visualization techniques to present research findings in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to refine and iterate on concepts based on research findings.
  • Stay uptodate on the latest concept testing methodologies and best practices.

Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of experience in UX research, with a strong understanding of concept testing principles and methods.
  • Proven experience designing and conducting concept testing studies for
    various product types (especially focused on hardware, but software experience a plus).
  • Experience with user research tools and software relevant to concept testing (e.g., SurveyMonkey, Optimal Workshop, UserTesting).
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Comfortable understanding and communicating concepts related to cutting edge technologies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present research findings to diverse audiences.
  • Able to communicate insights in an actionable way.
  • Passion for innovation and a keen interest in understanding user needs and preferences.

Per the California
statute, the estimated range of compensation for this job
in that location, at the time of this posting, is $100,000-150,000. This position may be eligible for incentive pay, for openings where this is applicable.
