Position: Accounting Manager

Location: Downtown Baton Rouge, LA

Compensation: $120,000 annually

Strategic Business Consulting Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our clients' team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the company and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial data. This is a key leadership role within the organization and requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion

Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations

Monitor and review financial data for accuracy and identify any discrepancies or variances

Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key findings and providing recommendations for improvement

Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to ensure accurate and realistic projections

Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support as needed

Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits and tax filings

Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards, and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

CPA or equivalent certification preferred

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations

Experience with financial reporting and analysis

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
