- Working closely with the Controller to manage the day to day accounts payable activities
- Managing the accounts payable department team, ensuring staff are trained and supported
- Completing performance reviews for team members
- Ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly, managing cashflows and budgets
- Responding to finance queries in a prompt and efficient manner
- Managing the accounts payable process, ensuring invoices are created, posted and paid accurately and in a timely manner
- Completing monthly reconciliations and generating reports, adhering to company deadlines and rules
- Assisting with the preparation of year end accounts and audits
- Managing important files for business licenses, permits, taxes, and contracts and ensure payments due are processed
- You will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role
- You will have experience working with high-volumes and accounting for multiple US states
- You have an eye for small details and use of initiative
- You are a proactive leader with superb time management and problem-solving skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
