- Develop and enforce HR and safety policies and procedures specific to the meat packing industry, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, company standards, and best practices.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility, production lines, and equipment to identify safety hazards, and promptly implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with lockout/tagout procedures for machinery maintenance and repairs, and conduct regular safety checks to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, or near-misses related to safety, and implement preventive measures to minimize future occurrences.
- Handle investigations, discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to ensure effective HR and safety practices throughout the meat packing plant.
- Maintains a knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations, industry trends, and best practices in sanitation, safety, and food handling for the meat packing industry.
- Ensures all attendance and NCNS reports are ran daily and corrective action takes place.
