- Provide an interesting, creative, and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the facility and promoting resident participation through regularly scheduled high-quality activities, excursions, special events, guest speakers, movie showings, exercise sessions, the establishment of clubs, games, art and creativity opportunities, educational classes and other such activities.
- Actively engage in residents' activities through personally leading activities and encouraging resident participation in all activities, excursions, and special events.
- Recruit, develop, manage and schedule Activity Assistants, and Community Volunteers.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
- Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Education/ Licensure:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Requires Certification as an Activity Director by the NCCAP
Requires current valid class C Drivers License.
Experience/Skills:
Previous experience supervising and managing employees
A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing planned activities
Previous skilled nursing experience preferred
