- The Nurse Manager is responsible for the 24 hour, seven day a week functions of a clinical nursing unit(s).
- Administers, plans and evaluates the activities of the department(s) to ensure quality patient care.
- Develops goals, policies and procedures, prepares and submits operating and capital budgets, participates in multidisciplinary QI teams, consults with staff, physicians and other departments as needed.
- Manages staffing patterns with the assistance of Assistant Nurse Managers and the House Supervisors on a shift-to-shift basis.
- Follows policies and procedures. Participates in the Quality Improvement process and adheres to facility standards of behaviour.
- Required Keywords: ("REGISTERED NURSE" OR "NURSE MANAGER" OR "NURSE SUPERVISOR" OR "LEAD NURSE") AND ("EMERGENCY" OR "EMERGENCY SERVICES" OR "EMERGENCY CARE" OR "ER")
- Florida RN licensure required
- Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
- A minimum of one (1) year management experience is preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt, or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
- This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
