- Complete necessary documentation and record keeping every shift.
- Manage crisis situations safely and effectively. This can include potential use of manual restraints. Candidates will receive training on manual restraints in conjunction with the 245D standards.
- Engage in trauma informed care daily.
- Minimum requirement of one year working with individuals with maladaptive behavioral history and knowledge of behavior management techniques preferred.
- Minimum requirement of one year of CRS, 245D, or SCS experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of individuals and recognize individual boundaries.
- Previous completion of at least one singular training in behavioral skills/emergency use of manual restraints such as PIA, CPI, or MANDT.
- Knowledge of local community resources is a plus.
- The successful candidate must be cleared by a Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) background study and have a drivers' license; a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) is required.
