    Role and Responsibilities


    DESCRIPTION


    The Samsung global services team is responsible for driving Smart TV and mobile services businesses by building intelligent, integrated, cross-platform services that delight and entertain users.

    Samsung TV Plus is Samsung's direct-to-consumer OTT video service featuring ad-supported linear channels and ad-supported VOD.

    In the US, TV Plus launched in April 2018 and is currently available on model Samsung Smart TVs and recent Galaxy mobile devices.

    As a Sr.

    Manager of Technical Product Management for TV Plus, you will develop requirements and roadmap priorities for the TV Plus Content Management System (CMS) platform ensuring capabilities support future worldwide growth.

    The role demands a mix of great technical depth, principled thinking and well-honed product judgment.

    TV Plus is in the midst of an exciting period of growth and development, and seeks an experienced Product Manager who will drive technical evolution of the product platform during this critical phase.


    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Define the vision and strategy for improving content discovery to deliver personalized recommendations for each viewer.
    Develop a deep understanding of viewer needs through data analysis and market research.
    Proactively align requirements with stakeholders from leadership in Korea and US, engineering, UX, marketing, legal, and other teams.
    Define roadmap priorities based on business objectives and user feedback.
    Define success KPIs and monitor performance against them.
    Instill a culture of experimentation to continuously improve our recommendation systems.
    Collaborate closely with engineering teams to develop and implement recommendation algorithms.
    Work with the UX team to ensure a seamless user experience for content discovery and search.
    Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in content recommendation technology.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    8+ years of experience on consumer-facing content services, preferably in the streaming industry.
    Demonstrated success in defining and implementing successful content recommendation systems.
    Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and insights to drive decision-making.
    Experience collaborating with a globally distributed team.
    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    The salary range for this role is expected to be between $[175,000] and $[210,000] plus bonus.

    Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
