Vice President & Head of Global Medical Affairs - Virology and Liver, Inflammation, Fibrosis, & Established Products


The Vice President, Global Medical Affairs (GMA) will provide oversight in the areas of prevention (PrEP) and treatment of HIV, hepatitis (B, C, and Delta), inflammation and fibrosis, as well as established products across Gilead's therapeutic areas.

The VP, GMA will have overall responsibility for overseeing the Medical Affairs Department globally in these therapeutic areas by providing strategic leadership for all Medical Affairs activities and developing and executing the Integrated Strategic Plan (ISP).

Will oversee the development and execution of the long-term strategy through the global Medical Affairs Plan of Action (POA) for each of these therapeutic areas based on a landscape assessment of unmet needs, with inputs from colleagues within Medical Affairs as well as cross-functionally, and provide oversight and direction to country affiliate Medical Affairs teams for local implementation.

Additionally, will oversee the Medical Affairs Research group, which provides global operational MA research capabilities across therapeutic areas.
