    Description
    The Department of Orthopedics is seeing an administrative leader. This position will manage the day to day operation of and supervision of the 16+ employees in the faculty administrative support team tracking their productivity, handling their scheduling and time off requests, leading meetings, disseminating information to the team and evaluating personnel performance on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis. Position also manages the Medical Education Team.

    This position will lead the creation of new best practices, update standards for various procedures and processes, and lead change management within the team. This position will also lead evaluation and redistribution of duties within the work group to improve efficiency and remove redundancy and continue to monitor this for further improvements.

    Duties will include:
    • Maintain day to day operation of and supervision of the faculty administrative support team and education team.
    • Tracking productivity for faculty administrative team.
    • Handle scheduling and time off requests for team.
    • Leading performance improvement initiatives within the team.
    • Lead and organize monthly meetings, disseminating information to the team.
    • Evaluating personnel performance on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis. Address employee issues including coaching, performance management, and discipline.
    • Creating new best practices for team.
    • Updating standards for various procedures and processes, and leading change management within the team.
    • Evaluating and redistributing of duties within the work group to improve efficiency and remove redundancy. Continued monitoring of duties within the work group for further improvements.
    • May provide administrative support to faculty.
    Required Education:
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
    Required Qualifications:
    • Recent leadership experience, including the supervision of employees (within the last 5 years)
    • 3 years of administrative experience
    • Ability to make high level decisions requiring interpretation and judgment
    • Advanced ability to gather, analyze, maintain, and display data in appropriate format and keep accurate records
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrated experience working effectively in a welcoming and respectful workplace environment
    • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks on time, and maintain quality standards
    • Advanced experience working with Microsoft Office and skills in utilizing computer software and online systems
    • Excellent customer service skills
    Desired Qualifications:
    • Knowledge of institutional and department policies, processes and forms
