    Overview

    Now Hiring: Freedom Group- Accounting Manager/Controller

    Location: Remote

    Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000

    Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

    Job Duties:

    • Manages accounting staff responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
    • Recruits and appoints accounting and financial staff, and conducts performance evaluations.
    • Organizes training programs for new staff and identifies training needs within the current team.
    • Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
    • Oversees the preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
    • Oversees the creation of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results adhere to generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
    • Ensure accurate presentation of all financial statements and timely closure of the books, keeping schedules of major items up to date and accessible. (Delinquencies, cash requirements, distributions, etc.)
    • Responsible for payroll management.
    • Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; and collaborating with third-party tax preparers to aid in the prompt filing of annual tax returns.
    • Examines accounts to guarantee compliance with state and federal regulations; collaborates with external auditors and provides necessary information for the annual external audit.
    • Proposes recommendations to management regarding short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
    • Conducts financial analysis focusing on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
    • Engage with various internal departments on financial metrics.
    • Manage the intercompany payable/receivables and concentrate on cash management and cash needs planning.
    • Ensures adherence to local, state, and federal government specifications.
    • Performs other relevant duties as delegated.

    Qualifications:

    • Outstanding management and supervisory skills.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficient in accounting software.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.
    • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or possess relevant experience.
    • A minimum of five years of related experience is mandatory.
    • Essential technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with Rent Manager.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Extended periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be capable of lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally.
