The Arc Westchester, a leading non-for-profit social services organization in Westchester County, has a full-time position for a Senior Accountant in Hawthorne, NY.

The position is in-office (not remote).
Job Description

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

The Arc Westchester, a leading non-for-profit social services organization in Westchester County, has a full-time position for a Senior Accountant in Hawthorne, NY.

The position is in-office (not remote).

Responsibilities for Senior Accountant Include:
Journal Entries
Monthly Expense Allocations
Supervision of 2 AP staff
Run AP checks; send EFT files to the bank
Monthly closing of AP
Download daily bank EFT file
Prove EFT/ Bank Drafts from bank to GL weekly/monthly
Audit of GL accounts
Problem-solve, answer inquiries
Various other duties

Job Requirements / Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
CPA preferred
3 years of related experience preferred
Good attendance/ dependability
Proficient in Excel and strong technology skills required
Ability to multi-task
Strong interpersonal/ communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Must be a team player
