    Home Health Occupational Therapist (OT)

    Location: Montgomery County, Maryland

    Key Responsibilities as a Home Health Occupational Therapist:

    • Deliver occupational therapy to patients who have difficulty performing daily tasks due to illness or injury
    • Collaborate with a home health team comprised of various healthcare professionals to address patient's care plan and goals
    • Evaluate patients, identify areas for improvement, set therapy objectives, and track progress
    • Guide patients through exercises to enhance fine motor skills and coordination
    • Recommend adaptive tools like grab bars and shower chairs for increased support
    • Conduct fall risk assessments and implement safety measures to enhance home safety
    • Educate patients and families on care plans, exercises, goals, and self-care practices

    Qualifications for Home Health Occupational Therapists:

    • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program with an active OT license in Maryland
    • NBCOT certification
    • Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience, preferably in home healthcare
    • BLS Certification
    • Familiarity with state and federal home health regulations
    • Strong clinical judgment, interpersonal skills, resourcefulness, and compassion
