- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed about the latest DHH education practices.
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
- Possess a valid teaching certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing from Illinois.
- Previous experience working with students dealing with hearing impairments, preferably in an educational environment.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is a plus.
