- Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with endorsements in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH)
- Certification from the Council on Education of the Deaf (CED) or willingness to obtain certification within the first year of employment
- At least one year of recent experience working as a DHH Teacher in a school setting
- Knowledge of best practices in Deaf Education, including proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other munication modalities

As part of this mitment, we are seeking a passionate and qualified School-Based Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to join our team.
Job Description: As a School-Based DHH Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing. You will collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student. Your responsibilities will include delivering direct instruction, adapting curriculum materials, providing assistive technology support, and promoting language and munication development.
