- Provide engineering expertise for chemical process combustion systems including for boilers, process heaters, process dryers, thermal oxidizers, and related operations.
- Analyze system performance and develop improvement opportunities.
- Troubleshoot operation and guide corrective actions.
- Support specification, design, installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Identify and drive energy projects and variable cost savings initiatives.
- Provide support to global energy networks and climate goal teams.
- Develop and deliver webinar and in-person training to internal client groups.
- Accredited degree in mechanical or chemical engineering (BS, MS, or PhD)
- Expertise in fired equipment and combustion controls
- Experience with industrial and preferably chemical processes
- Experience in operational troubleshooting and improvement
- A valid passport and ability to sustain an average travel rate of 25% (mostly domestic)
- Experience in specification, design, commissioning and/or startup of new equipment
- Experience with thermal oxidizer systems
- Experience with industrial refrigeration systems
- Experience with industrial utility systems (steam, condensate, compressed gas, water)
- Experience with industrial water treatment for boiler and cooling tower systems
- Experience with HVAC systems within production support facilities

team This full-time position will report directly to the
Engineering Senior Manager
and is located at Chemours headquarters in Wilmington, DE or remotely near manufacturing sites in the mid-Ohio Valley, Tennessee Valley, Carolinas or Gulf Coast regions.
