    Description


    As a Senior Property Accountant, you will be responsible for the accounting functions on two San Francisco based buildings, including a parking facility and TRS fund tracking for REIT purposes.

    A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required, CPA a plus.
    5+ years of progressive accounting experience.

    Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of monthly and quarterly accruals and journal entries in accordance with GAAP & REIT reporting requirements.

    Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements.
    Explain monthly and quarterly variances.
    Ensure that all bank account reconciliations and cash tracking are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

    Gain a complete understanding of the internal accounting requirements as well as work to ensure requirements are met as established by the client.

    Coordinate Accounts Payable process – review invoice coding and approvals and ensure compliance with all appropriate controls.

    Ensure the accounts receivable objectives and metrics are met - oversee maintenance and research on AR over 30 days past due.

    Assist with annual budget preparation.
    OPEX reconciliation – Responsible for preparing the quarterly accruals and year-end true up reconciliations.
    Ensure local GRT/CRT quarterly tax payments are made accurately and timely and complete the annual tax return.
    Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required and experience using Yardi/Collect/Pay Plus, a plus.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively prioritize and manage time and workload to meet client needs.
    Willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities as needed.
    Understanding of and commitment to client services.
    A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment.
