    Description
    SUMMARY
    The Kitchen Manager oversees the food service activities and back of house operations of the restaurant and market following company guidelines regarding operating procedures, food preparation, cleanliness, profitability, and employee relations.
    Essential functions:
    • Ensure kitchen and food service area meets quality standards daily
    • Monitor adherence to Standard Operating Procedures
    • Manage kitchen schedules and staffing levels
    • Supervise kitchen employees, ensuring policy adherence
    • Conduct food inventories and monitor waste
    • Complete food orders and oversee vendor relationships
    • Ensure proper food storage and labeling
    • Maintain kitchen equipment and safety standards
    • Assist in staff recruitment, training, and development
    • Comply with sanitation, health, and safety standards
    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Directly supervise kitchen staff and assist in training
    • Provide mentorship and problem-solving guidance
    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
    • Experience in kitchen management required
    • Leadership in employee relations and problem resolution
    • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
    EDUCATION / TRAINING / CERTIFICATIONS
    • High school diploma preferred
    • 21 years of age or older
    • Completion of Kitchen Manager Training Program and relevant certifications
    PHYSICAL / COGNITIVE / VERBALSKILLS
    • Proficient communication and reading skills
    • Ability to calculate figures and apply basic mathematics
    • Physical ability to lift, reach, bend, and stand
    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    Work may involve exposure to various environmental conditions including noise, chemicals, and extreme temperatures.
