Description

Are you an experienced estimator who wants to join a collaborative and successful team in the Raleigh, NC Area? Do you enjoy researching new projects and working together with other professionals to build a project before the first shovel hits the ground?

As a Senior Estimator, you will evaluate bid specifications and drawings, create comprehensive estimates, develop bid strategies, manage contracts and subcontracts, provide cost & margin analysis, and understand the complete build scope required to successfully bid and win a project.

Required Skills for this Role:

Estimating experience on large-scale DOT, HHWY, Bridges, Utilities, and Infrastructure Projects over $5MIL.
Proficiency with HCSS, Heavy Bid, Microsoft Projects, or P6.

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Estimator:

Manage bid administration for full estimates on complex heavy civil projects.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of means and methods, and the ability to interpret build plans and specifications.
Coordinate with subcontractors, owners, architects, engineers, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and pre-construction gatherings.
Assist project management in preconstruction planning and budget meetings.

Requirements for Job Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of heavy civil estimating experience.
Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred but not required.
Experience in estimating for utilities, large sites, infrastructure, bridges, structures, and DOT projects over $5MIL.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Information:

Ability to safely perform essential job functions in compliance with standards.
Maintain regular attendance and clear telephone communication.
