Job Description:
Legacy Behavioral Health Services is hiring individuals with a passion for making a difference in their community We are seeking a Therapist to work a part of our Residential Team in Valdosta, GA. This position under direct supervision of the Chief Clinical Officer/designee, provides evaluation and therapeutic services to individual with behavioral health issues in residential settings. Responsibilities include completion of complex psychosocial assessments, treatment team participation, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning. Provides individual, family and group counseling to individuals and their families.
Individuals in this position must be able to collaborate with all treatment providers and community referral sources including physicians to ensure care coordination.
Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions: work is normally performed in an office environment. Employees in this position may be exposed to virus, disease and infection from persons served or the working environment. Must be physically and emotionally fit to work in a stress-filled environment to meet deadlines.
Physical Demands - the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: the physical demands include but are not limited to good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard. The position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, intermittent physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping. Must have the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 20 pounds.
