Overview


As the Director of Channel Marketing overseeing Mass, Dollar, Off-Price, and Drug channels, you'll be instrumental in translating product and brand strategies into comprehensive business plans tailored to each channel and customer.

Working closely with our Sales, Product Development, Finance, and Operations teams, you'll develop detailed marketing / trade plans aimed at achieving both product and account objectives across Target, Walmart, Dollar General, Family Dollar, and TJX.


Responsibilities

  • Strategically drive towards achieving budgeted sales and profitability targets across assigned accounts, with a particular focus on optimizing outcomes for each.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Product teams to maximize customer mix, enhancing sales and margins for our company and retail partners.
  • Lead and manage a team of 46 direct reports, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive team performance and achieve collective goals.
  • Lead the commercialization of new products and programs within each channel, ensuring seamless implementation.
  • Spearhead line review planning processes to optimize product placement and assortment for maximum impact.
  • Develop and execute tailored promotional strategies aimed at boosting sales while safeguarding margins.
  • Establish customer pricing strategies based on product categories and specific margin requirements.
  • Utilize POS data and market analysis, leveraging syndicated and customerspecific insights to track performance and identify emerging trends.
  • Implement initiatives aimed at driving efficiencies and reducing nonproductive costs at the customer level.
  • Manage daytoday business activities at key accounts, fostering collaboration across Sales, Product Development, Finance, and Operations teams.
  • Act as a representative of the company at relevant trade shows, cultivating key relationships and showcasing our offerings.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in channel or trade marketing, preferably within the consumer product goods industry.
  • 5+ years of experience leading a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficient in analyzing syndicated data such as IRI to drive strategic decisionmaking.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel for building pricing models, financial analysis, and data assimilation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint to craft compelling presentations for customers.
  • Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills, coupled with strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of conveying ideas to both small and large audiences.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate across departments to effectively achieve company objectives.
