This requires a comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, and software systems, a mastery of the tools and diagnostics utilized for installing and servicing the product, and a dedication to representing Optimus with dignity and distinction in customer environments.
This is a full-time salaried position ($100,800-$113,280/year) to be based in Pittsburgh, PA with significant travel requirements (25-75% of a work year).
This position will ensure proper system functionality and inform the engineering department of technical changes that may need to be made for future designs, as well as ensure the Field Operations team is properly installing and diagnosing any post installation issues or changes that need to be made for further success.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain the bridge between the engineering and field service teams by ensuring all engineering documentation, technical bulletins,
and
customer specific requests/changes are accurate and up to date.
Maintain and nurture client relationships; respond promptly to
specific
engineering
requests

Perform diagnostics and have the ability to perform root cause analysis on malfunctioning components.
Become an expert on the Vector system, and the various electrical, software, and hardware components therein.
Become an expert in specific engine and chassis specifications.
Ensure that the system installations are being performed correctly based on customer specific drawings and models.
Read, interpret, and utilize appropriate technical drawing, schematics, electrical diagrams and manuals to complete system installations, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Have the ability to inform technical decisions based on specific engines and chassis

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum

years of
heavy automotive engineering and
diagnostic experience

2-year associates degree in eng
ineering technology or equivalent experience.
Intimate knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems, with proven ability to troubleshoot and repair independently

Ability to comprehend detailed product schematics and documentation, and follow complex work instructions
.
Advanced communication and computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office and/or
GSuite
, and the ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner with both coworkers and customers
.
Experience with 3D Modelling software.
Demonstrated strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability and willingness to work with other team members to solve problems

Proven track record of working independently and under pressure, with little to no supervision when necessary

Ability to create and keep to timelines and deadlines, and prioritize the workload without direct supervision
.
A strong sense of pride in the work done that shows in quality and customer satisfaction
