- Maybe assigned to a particular shift and observes and maintains the operating condition of the various machinery and equipment such as: boilers, air conditioning units, pumps, motors, fans and fire alarm systems.
- While covering a shift, maintains a shift log of all temperatures, pressures and liquid levels of the running machinery and equipment.
- Performs any necessary minor work related to preventive, corrective and cosmetic maintenance.
- Maintains a clean , neat and safe work area.
- Utilizes power and hand tools.
- Attends the necessary in-service training sessions.
- Completes and return all requisitions and time sheets.
- Performs other related duties as needed.
- Highschool diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Ability to use power and hand tools correctly and safely
- Ability to read, write and speak effectively and professionally
- Ability to do basic mathematical equations

Job Summary:
Assists with the operation, maintenance and repairs to the machinery and equipment thorough the facility. Assists in performing work to facilitate the necessary preventive, corrective and cosmetic maintenance in order to provide a safe, clean and comfortable environment. Reports to the Engineering Supervisor.
