    Description
    Currently hiring for a full-time and fully remote Android Developer role. This role must sit within the state of Texas but will be remote.

    Intermediate Android Developer to join the Mobile Technology team.

    This role requires participation in the development and maintenance of our software and other applicable applications in the Android environment and as such requires fundamentals in best engineering practices, as well as an analytical and data-driven approach to problem-solving in a DevOps collaborative environment.

    Duties & Responsibilities
    Design and build new Android apps and features in Java and Kotlin
    Maintain and improve existing products
    Generate, contribute and drive technical documentation (Javadoc & KDoc).
    Assume responsibility for the state of the code you both inherit and produce.
    Write unit tests and test the code thoroughly.
    Review and refactor code according to coding standards.
    Seeks to learn the business context and technologies behind the teams' software and decisions previously made.
    Participates in team design, scoping, and prioritization discussions.
    Work with a variety of development frameworks to build superior Android applications.
    Collaborate directly with QA and backend teams as needed.

    Requirements
    Have a degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
    4+ years of experience in Android mobile application development
    Ability to work on multiple projects in the same week
    Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
    Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
    Team player with an interest in cross-team collaboration
    Experience with Java, Kotlin, and modern Android jetpack & MVVM architecture components.
    Personal commitment to code quality and good engineering practices

    Nice to Have
    iOS development
    Jira, Google Play console, Appcenter, Firebase, and GitHub
    Experience creating and publishing libraries or SDKs
    Knowledge of CI/automation
    Appium automated testing framework
    Creating custom views
