    Description

    Job Description:

    • Last mile delivery
    • Development of Glass app and Spark app
    • Facilitate interaction between customers and drivers through chat functionality
    • Involvement of Oracle agent for seamless operations
    • Integration of payment processing, order management, and chat flows

    Position:

    • Role for an Android Mobile Engineer
    • 2 Android and 2 iOS positions available in Sunnyvale and NYC
    • Role to be filled by Monday or Tuesday
    • Candidate should have 6-10 years of Android experience
    • Senior role with Tech Lead responsibilities, overseeing project management and supervising a team of 1-2 engineers
    • Opportunity for independent work with occasional leadership tasks
    • Proficiency in Kotlin with at least 2 years of experience
    • Focus on maintaining clean and scalable code, utilizing REST APIs

    Location:

    • Site: US - CA - Sunnyvale
    • Business Unit: US Omni Tech and Platforms Tech

    Job Duties and Skills:

    • Demonstrate expertise in Mobile Engineering projects
    • Contribute to small to medium-sized projects from discovery to execution phase
    • Engage in peer code reviews and team development
    • Provide and implement business solutions through mobile engineering support
    • Troubleshoot mobile device issues for business and production purposes

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
    • 5 years of experience in building scalable ecommerce applications or mobile software

    Key Skills:

    • Proficiency in Java for mobile software development
    • Experience with Git/Github for source code version control
    • Knowledge of Agile methodology such as Scrum
    • Expertise in developing mobile network clients using HTTP protocol and REST APIs
    • Familiarity with Google Play APIs including Maps, Location, and Cloud Messaging
    • Ability to debug software and analyze memory issues
    • Experience in Android software development and design patterns
    • Skills in unit and integration testing of Android applications
    • Prior experience in publishing Android applications
