About the Employer

The Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) is made up of 44 schools serving preschool-12th grade with approximately 33,000 students in grades TK-12.

The District Office hosts twenty-three district level departments that serve the school sites. School sites feature many facility upgrades with vibrant libraries due to the community support of the Measure E bond.

Requirements / Qualifications

Two Letters of Recommendation DMV Driving Record A Class A driver's license must be obtained within 3 months of employment Possession of California Class A driver's license with no restrictions which would preclude driving on the job is a continuous requirement

Education:
Equivalent to completion of high school with the addition of any combination of formal and informal training, education and experience with power grounds or construction equipment operations, landscape management, horticulture, agriculture or a related field

Experiences:

Two years of experience operating a variety of commercial/industrial power grounds equipment such as lawn mowers, tractors, graders, pruning towers, branch chippers, stump grinders and backhoes in a grounds maintenance, farming or construction environment.

The Fremont Unified School District is a Merit System District and fills all vacancies in the classified service through competitive examinations.

All applications and supplemental information will be reviewed to determine the candidates whose training and experience most closely match the requirements of the position.

Those who pass the initial screening will be invited to participate in the testing process, which may include written, oral and/or performance exams.
