Overview
We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Head Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate our dining experience. Duties
- Lead and supervise the entire culinary team, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining consistency and quality
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and dietary requirements
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize kitchen efficiency
- Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with precision and professionalism
- Implement shift management procedures to ensure smooth daily operations across all kitchen stations
- Conduct regular training sessions on food handling, safety protocols, and culinary techniques to enhance team skills
- Monitor food service quality during peak hours to ensure timely delivery without compromising quality
- Collaborate with restaurant management to align culinary offerings with overall brand standards and customer expectations
Skills
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Japanese cuisine required
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining environments
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Expertise in banquet service, catering, and large-scale food production
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively
- Knowledge of inventory management, cost control, and food industry best practices
- Exceptional menu planning abilities with a focus on dietary accommodations and innovative cuisine
- Proficiency in food safety regulations, HACCP standards, and overall kitchen hygiene practices
- Skilled in food handling, preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management tools
- Experience in restaurant management including shift coordination, staffing, and customer service oversight
- Familiarity with bartending services as part of comprehensive hospitality offerings
