BRACE Outreach Coordinator VISTABe Ready Alliance Coordinating for Emergencies (BRACE) is a community-based disaster coalition that leads in emergency preparedness, response, and recovery efforts in Escambia County.
We train and mobilize volunteers, and collaborate with local, regional, and national partners to ensure the disaster readiness of our community.
BRACE works to ensure provided prompt and supportive emergency assistance following a major disaster or emergency; enhance the resilience of persons living in poverty to disaster and other emergencies and build organizational, community and regional capacity to ensure vital services will be available to low-income families during future disasters and emergencies.
Member Duties : We are looking for a person with exceptional personal skills to join our team. This VISTA will work closely with management, our partners, and volunteers. The Outreach Coordinator will enhance and, implement marketing plans that will build organizational and community capacity to provide disaster services to vulnerable residents. The VISTA will brainstorm new and creative approaches for marketing campaigns and social media influence. Assist with the production of publications, and other printed materials (writing press releases, event material, impact reports). Coordinate the creation of a disaster communications plan and a modern press kit (with pre-formatted press releases, contact information) for use before, during, and after a disaster or major emergency. The VISTA must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to effectively multi-task.
