    Description

    The Associate Director of Alumni Engagement is responsible for executing strategies to increase constituent engagement under guidance from the Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement. They will coordinate and implement programs and events to foster lifetime engagement with alumni of the School of the Art Institute (SAIC).

    Responsibilities

    • Build affinity among SAIC alumni across local, domestic and international markets.
    • Manage a portfolio of alumni leaders and prospects to grow a pipeline of experiential, volunteer, and philanthropic engagement through personal touchpoints and outreach.
    • Support multiple regional and affinity-based alumni groups.
    • Collaborate with campus partners to develop and promote alumni engagement programming, for example: panel discussions, workshops, and distinguished alumni lectures.
    • Create innovative ways to enhance the alumni volunteer experience.
    • Monitor and track alumni engagement activity, and benchmark effectiveness against best practices in the industry.
    • Update alumni data and manage the implementation of campus partner data in Raiser s Edge.
    • Produce key alumni communications including an alumni newsletter, social media posts, and event notifications in collaboration with colleagues in the Office of Advancement and Marketing Communications.
    • Collaborate effectively with Office of Advancement colleagues and campus partners to advance the School s alumni engagement priorities.
    • This position is based in Chicago, requires occasional non-traditional work hours, and some travel.
    • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional work experience in higher education or other non-profit fundraising, alumni relations, volunteer management, board management and/or engagement events.
    • Must possess strong communication, and writing skills.
    • Strong project management, organizational and analytical skills required.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with a variety of institutional partners.
    • Familiarity with data entry and donor management software applications, Raiser's Edge experience preferable.
    • Reports to Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement
    • Supervises Student workers
