Our client is seeking a dynamic and skilled, experienced Engineering leader to join their team, located in

Winona, MN

to work in the capacity of

Director of Operations

.

Our client

provides comprehensive solutions across the entire product lifecycle, leading through its innovative technology and engineering design services, leveraging its optimized global supply chain, and delivering world-class manufacturing services.

The industries they serve include commercial Aerospace/Defense, advanced computing, next-generation Telecommunications, complex industrials, Medical, and Semiconductor capital equipment.

The chosen candidate should possess experience overseeing management of Production Operations and Manufacturing Engineering (Test, Product, and Process).

This

role requires a prior background within EMS/CM/CEM.
Responsibilities

Participates in the development and execution of division business plans based on corporate objectives.

Oversees production engineering and production operations departments to attain maximum efficiency and Quality in the testing, manufacturing, and production of our product.

Supports adherence to a production master schedule and responds as appropriate to significant deviations and changes to satisfy customer requirements and optimize resource utilization.

Develops, recommends, and implements manufacturing procedures that result in continuous improvement in competitive positioning, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Develop, monitor, and report on operating costs within functional areas; Develop and implement action plans related to the same.

Ensures that orders are manufactured according to specifications/quality requirements and that manufacturing cost standards are met.

Manages department budget and controls expenses effectively.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline is required.

8 or more years of electronics manufacturing and engineering experience is mandatory.

8 or more in a leadership role in a multiple or large site (600+ employees and associated revenue/customer base).

Solid financial understanding, risk analysis ability, relationship building, and project management.

Ability to drive solutions to complex planning issues with limited supervision.

Experiencing supporting a 24/7 global business operation as required.

Lead and participate in a continuous improvement activity with complete documentation, including a follow-up review with the team in a presentation format, or at least.

Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are essential in this role.

Ability to work with diverse groups.

Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment, and professionalism.

Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance, exercising discretion and independent judgment.

Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools.

Strong customer service and client focus.

Working knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products and WebEx conferencing software.

Demonstrated leadership and people management skills including the ability to effectively coach and mentor employees at all levels.

Enthusiastic and motivational communicator with multi-cultural experience.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and influence individuals, internally and externally, across all levels, functions, and geographies.

Collaborate and influence cross-functional peer leaders to obtain support for process improvements.

Available for travel up to 25-40% of the time, as required.
