Description

Responsible for selling, identifying and documenting service, maintenance, and repair service for customers. Responsible for scheduling service to be performed.
Advises customers on necessary/suggested services.
Offers additional services and repairs to customers.
Computes cost of replacement parts and labor to restore vehicle to condition specified by customer.
Estimates cost of mechanical, electrical, or other repairs.
Enters itemized estimate on service order and explains estimate to customer.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Working knowledge of the mechanical operations of vehicles.

Verbal and Writing Ability:
Duties are generally performed in the service area.

Work includes inspection of customer vehicles and frequent movement around the Service Department to convey information between customers and service technicians.

Service Advisor frequently interacts with customers, service manager and service technicians, and employees from various departments in the dealerships.
Service Advisor may be exposed to load noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service repair conditions. Analytical - Collects and researches data.

Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Team Work - Supports everyone's efforts to succeed.

Organizational Support - Follows policies and procedures; Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time.

Judgment - Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Planning/Organizing - Uses time efficiently; Reacts well under pressure; Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
