    About this role
    Responsible for coordinating the college's efforts to comply with and carry out its responsibilities under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. Oversees student complaints through investigation to final resolution, including those involving faculty and staff. Acts as a neutral party in the investigation and provides a detailed and unbiased report. Coordinate's the restorative justice process and ensures reported Title IX incidents are recorded and maintained in accordance with college procedures.

    Minimum Base Pay: $60, All salary calculations start at the minimum salary and will be based on candidate's education and experience.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Identifies and addresses any systemic problems relating to complaints and works with other departments to ensure Title IX policies are communicated to all constituencies. Develops and implements policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
    • Collaborates with student conduct personnel to identify complaints to be referred for informal resolution through restorative justice. Provides training opportunities for faculty and staff to become restorative justice facilitators.
    • Prepares annual statistical reports. Coordinates with key personnel to determine Cleary annual reporting records. Serves on compliance and administrative committees, as required.
    • Compiles and maintains data on student cases; generates and disseminates reports on all case activity. Reviews and analyzes data to make informed decisions and recommendations.
    • Receives and processes, in a timely manner, complaints from students, faculty, staff, and administrators regarding rights and responsibilities concerning harassing behavior or other gender based discriminatory behavior in violation of Title IX.
    • Oversees all aspects of student discrimination reports and investigation by ensuring reports and complaints are handled properly, equitably and in a timely manner. Conducts adequate, reliable, and impartial investigations of reports and complaints of sexual misconduct and discrimination.
    • Provides support for Student Conduct process and functions as appropriate. Assists with the annual review and update to the Student Handbook.
    • Evaluates and ensures procedures for compliance with federal state, local institutional laws and regulations. Clarifies, monitors, and enforces program guidelines, policies, and procedures. Refers disciplinary issues or unique situations to the appropriate person.
    • Models behaviors in the program that result in establishing and maintaining a positive, respectful, appropriate environment.
    • Serves as liaison with key personnel to provide reasonable, interim measures to protect both the complainant and the respondent based on the outcome of the investigation. Travels to meetings offsite and between college locations, and for other purposes.
    • Manages the intervention response plan. May involve referring students to appropriate services on or off campus.
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
    Required Minimum Qualifications:

    Education and Experience:
    • Master's degree
    • Four years of related experience
    Knowledge of:
    • Best practices of higher education compliance with Title IX
    • Restorative justice as an informal resolution for Title IX and conduct complaints
    • Recordkeeping principles and procedures
    • Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
    Skilled in:
    • Managing and resolving conflict in a positive manner
    • Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
    • Promoting cooperative behavior and team efforts
    Ability to:
    • Interact in a positive manner with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public
    • Gain the confidence and respect of diverse stakeholders in order to work effectively and build relationships of trust
    • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations and take responsibility for a high level of service
    • Handle highly sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality
    Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:
    • Restorative Justice Facilitator certification
    • Regular physical attendance required
